Some ideas deserve more than a paragraph. Say them on video.

Short Ideas helps you explain what you think, clearly. Bring the notes, the draft or the essay you already have, and leave with a short video that makes your point the way you would make it in person.

THE WEEKLY NOTE

From idea to video in four steps

  1. 1

    Shape the idea

Write it yourself, or start from notes or something you have published and let us help you draft a script that keeps your point.

  2. 2

    Say it

Record yourself, upload a take, or choose an AI voice. The text on screen moves with what you say.

  3. 3

    Choose a look

Calm, readable cards, or text that builds phrase by phrase to carry the important words.

  4. 4

    Share it

Download a vertical video for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts or anywhere else you talk to people.

Questions

Do I need to be on camera?

No. Your video is made of text with your voice or an AI voice, so you never have to appear in it.

How long can a video be?

As long as the idea needs. Drafts start at about a minute or a minute and a half, and you can cut or add from there.

Will it keep my meaning?

Drafts stay close to what you wrote, but AI can still drop a qualifier or soften a claim. You read and edit every line before any voice is made.

Who owns the videos?

You do. Use them anywhere, including commercially. Videos are made on your device. Your recordings stay there too, unless you choose precise word timing, which sends the audio to be transcribed.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the private beta. Each account has a monthly allowance for AI voices and drafting, and recording your own voice is always free.
