Rooral Platforms (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed by Short Ideas, under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, the GDPR.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, password hash or Google sign-in identifier, and session records.
- Usage: which features you used and how many credits they cost.
- Billing: handled by Polar.sh. We receive your plan and subscription status, never your card details.
What we don't keep
Your recordings, images and rendered videos stay in your browser. Narration text, post links and audio sent for voice generation, drafting or Whisper sync are processed in memory and passed to the provider for that request; we do not store them.
Processors
Fish Audio, ElevenLabs, OpenAI and Together AI (voice, transcription and text generation); Polar.sh (payments); Resend (email); our hosting provider. Some are outside South Africa; we rely on their contractual safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to processing, by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your account and usage records; billing records are kept as tax law requires. You may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
